- More than 50 scholarships are annually available for graduate students who wish to study a master’s or a doctoral degree with a particular faculty.
SIIT Young Researcher Grants (YRG)
- For master’s and doctoral programs
- The grant covers full education and tuition fees and other benefits as a research assistant
Graduate Scholarship Program for Students from Neighboring Countries (SSNC)
- For master’s and doctoral programs (100% education and tuition fees, thesis support, living allowance, airfare, health insurance and other benefits)
- The SSNC scholarships are available for students from the People’s Republic of Lao and the People’s Republic of Cambodia to study at SIIT.
Sponsored Project Scholarships
- For master’s and doctoral programs (100% education and tuition fees)
- Several forms of scholarship supports upon agreement of the sponsored project such as living allownce and thesis support may be offered. They are available from faculty sponsored projects mainly covering education and tuition fees for graduate students to study at SIIT.
TAIST-Tokyo Tech Scholarships (NSTDA)
- 100% education and tuition fees, thesis support, and other benefits
- It is a joint program between SIIT and NSTDA to offer master’s degrees in:
- Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (AI and IoT)
- Sustainable Energy and Resources Engineering Program (SERE)
ADB-Japan Scholarships
- 100% education and tuition fees, thesis support, living allowance (including accommodation), round-trip airfare, medical insurance, book allowance, and other benefits
- ADB-Japan scholarships program, supported by The Asian Development Bank (ADB), are available for graduate students to study in a master’s degree program at SIIT.
AUN/SEED-Net Scholarships
- For master’s and doctoral programs at SIIT (100% education and tuition fees, thesis support, living allowance (incluing accommodation), round-trip airfare and relocation allowance, medical insurance, English proficiency test for graduation, and other benefits)
- AUN/SEED-Net is mainly supported by the Japanese Government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and partially supported by the ASEAN Foundation. The scholarship also provides integrative supports for faculty development and network establishment.
JAIST-SIIT-NSTDA Scholarships
- 100% education and tuition fees with other benefits
- SIIT and the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology offer a dual degree doctoral program in partnership with NSTDA in the area of Service Science which includes various participating fields in Engineering and Technology. Duration of the program is 4 years: the 1st and 3rd years will be spent at SIIT while the 2nd and 4th years will be spent at JAIST (Japan).
Double Degree Doctoral Program in Biomedical Engineering: SIIT/ Chiba University of Japan (DDDP)
- The DDDP must be combined with EFS/ETS for doctoral students with excellent academic records. It offers 100% education and tuition fees, thesis support, living allowance, airfare, health insurance and other benefits.
